Q. Does Mesocore offer different size models?

A. Yes, Mesocore offers multiple models that range in size from 430 square feet up to 1100 square feet.

Q. Is a Mesocore house a permanent structure?

A. Yes, Mesocore units, once completed is a permanent house just like any traditionally built house. Mesocore homes are built on a slab designed to increase the strengthen of the house once it is complete. House can also be built on concrete piers.

Q. Can I use Mesocore units to build a Modular Development?

A. Yes, The unique combination of the Mesocore modular house and a site development plan embracing its size and flexibility enables a new level of affordability and livability.

Q. Can I build a Mesocore house outside of the United States?

A. Yes, Since Mesocore homes are shipped as a 20’ shipping container, anywhere a shipping container can go, a Mesocore home can go (Anywhere in the world). Great locations for our homes include, but not limited too, Caribbean islands, Central America, even the Outback! 

Q. Do you build your house out of used shipping containers?

A. No. All Mesocore homes start as a brand new shipping container that we make in our factory for our specific needs. So there is no need to worry what was shipped within the container before. Your house will utilize a brand new container. 

Q. Can a Mesocore house be used off grid?

A. Yes. Mesocore homes if outfitted with max solar and batteries certainly could be used as a fully sustainable off grid house. Of course, depending on local requirements you may still have to be connected to your local infrastructure grid. Learn more about our “Off grid” specific dwelling unit.

Q. Do I need to hire a contractor to complete to on-site construction?

A. Yes, since our homes are permanent structures, you will need to hire a general contractor who will start the permitting process for you. Your general contractor will quote you their price to build the house on your land. Some states offer the option of being you own contractor if you will be living in the house once completed. Check with your local building department.
